The BBMA Lil Dragons Programme for ages up to 8 yrs is designed to teach the skills of martial arts within the context of the varying stages of child development.
We teach fundamental movement skills that are vital foundations for the development of coordination and balance in the growing child. Karate skills bring the fine motor skills into play as well as focus, concentration and practical self defence skills. Our life skills components develop confidence, respect for self and others, child safety, listening skills, cooperative behaviour, following instructions, social skills and emotional balance.
Our BBMA Young Dragons Programme for ages 8-14 yrs teaches traditional Shotokan karate in a disciplined, safe and friendly environment.
The curriculum’s objectives are to develop stamina, strength, flexibility, gross and fine motor skills, technical perfection of the art of karate – do, focus, team work, anti bullying & practical self defence. Our character development programs teach them how to set and achieve goals, improve self awareness, develop self esteem, bolster self confidence, improve academic performance and reinforce desirable social skills.
When you train at BBMA, you’re in good hands with our qualified, professional, black belt teachers. We comply with all government regulations in Child Protection and Sports Coaching. Specialised flooring and equipment are designed for safety. We are a COVID Safe School and comply with the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene practices.
Loose fitting clothes they can exercise in for your Introductory Lesson, and there after, an official BBMA uniform.
Footwear must be worn to and from the dojo and inside the dojo in the common areas and especially bathrooms. We take our shoes off to enter the tatami (training area)
